Candice Wang

From an early age, Dr. Wang was captivated by the inner workings of the human body and the science behind healing. Inspired by her father’s example as a devoted physician, she developed a lasting respect for the impact compassionate medical care can have on people's lives.

Dr. Wang chose rheumatology for its depth and complexity. The field offers a wide range of conditions and diagnostic challenges that keep her intellectually engaged, while its nuanced care allows for a thoughtful and personalized approach. She finds fulfillment in guiding patients through uncertainty and building strong relationships throughout their care and believes that care is most effective when patients feel informed and empowered.

Dr. Wang earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences receiving University Highest Honors and completed her residency in internal medicine at University of California, Irvine where she was awarded Intern of the Year. Additionally, she finished a rheumatology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Wang enjoys cooking, especially Japanese and Taiwanese dishes, a passion she learned from her mother. She also values spending quality time with her family.
