Benjamin H. Goldenson

Benjamin Goldenson, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at Hoag Family Cancer Institute, where he treats patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Dr. Goldenson earned his medical degree and Ph.D. at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he also completed his hematology/oncology fellowship. Prior to joining Hoag, Dr. Goldenson was an associate physician diplomate at UCSD, focusing on hematology. He has earned multiple awards and academic honors, including fellowships and awards from the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Goldenson is active in a number of professional societies, including the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. An avid researcher, he has published original articles in leading academic journals and has presented abstracts at national meetings. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, running and spending time with his family.
