About Dr. Ahmed A. Elrefaie
Bio
Dr. Ahmed Elrefaie is a board-certified emergency physician who has been a member of the Hoag staff since 2015. He completed his undergraduate studies at UC Irvine and earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine before returning to UC Irvine to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Elrefaie currently serves as Associate Medical Director at Hoag Hospital Irvine and previously spent several years as a Clinical Instructor at the UC Irvine Department of Emergency Medicine. A member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), he is dedicated to advancing both clinical care and physician leadership in the emergency setting.
