About Dr. Afzaal M. Iqbal
Bio
Dr. Iqbal is double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is a strong believer in treating chronic pain with a multimodal approach combining the latest interventional techniques along with effective medical, psychological, behavioral and exercise therapies. He has an avid interest in complex regional pain syndrome as well as cancer pain. He is a graduate of the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York, where he served as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his pain medicine fellowship at the same institution. Dr. Iqbal looks forward to serving the greater Orange County community with exceptional care and establish meaningful relationships with his patients. He and his wife enjoy exploring the Southern California outdoors as well as the arts and culture of both LA and Orange County.
