    Toupet Fundoplication

    Overview

A Toupet or “partial” fundoplication is one type of anti-reflux surgery. It is most often used in cases where the patient has difficulty swallowing in addition to traditional reflux symptoms. A Toupet fundoplication applies less compression or pressure on the lower esophagus as compared to a Nissen fundoplication.
