    Neurologic Physical Therapy

    Overview

    Comprehensive rehabilitation services plays an important role in assisting patients with neurological disorders achieve their highest level of function. Each 40 minute session is one on one with a licensed therapist. Hoag physical therapists are specifically trained to improve movement and restore function with the following neurological diagnoses:

    • Stroke

    • Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders

    • Brain tumor

    • Traumatic brain injury

    • Other degenerative neurological disease

    • Multiple Sclerosis

    • Vestibular

    • Spinal disorders

    • Facial weakness

    Treatment may involve the following:

    • Comprehensive balance and vestibular testing and treatment

    • Functional mobility and transfer training

    • Gait training

    • Balance training

    • Exercise to improve strength and flexibility

    • Joint and soft tissue mobilization

    • Electrical stimulation

    • Neuromuscular re-education

    • Patient, family and caregiver education
