About Dr. Palmisano
Like many pediatricians, being a parent has helped Dr. Palmisano relate better to her young patients. She chose to go into medicine to help people and was inspired by how doctors treated her grandfather when he underwent heart surgery when she was 15.
“I love pediatrics,” Dr. Palmisano says. “As pediatricians, we are not only helping children, but also partnering with parents. It’s wonderful to be able to follow the entire families through the various stages of their children’s lives.”
Dr. Palmisano earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School in 2004 and completed pediatric residency training at UC San Diego three years later. Her professional experience includes positions at Washington University and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time with her two young sons.
