About Dr. Angstreich
Dr. Greg Angstreich is triple board-certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families, as this is critical for developing an appropriate care plan. He believes that practicing medicine is a privilege and he practices with dedication and honesty.
Dr. Angstreich attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also completed his residency. His fellowship in medical oncology and hematology was completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. After fellowship and before moving to Newport Beach, he was on the faculty at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven.
Dr. Angstreich treats all tumor types, as well as all benign and malignant blood disorders. Currently, his focus is on the genitourinary malignancies, such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer. He believes in making the most advanced treatments available to his patients, including clinical trials developed at academic medical centers.
Outside of the office, Dr. Angstreich enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing tennis, swimming, crossword puzzles, the theater and travel. Of note, he shows his commitment to Hoag Hospital by serving on numerous committees, including as the chair of the medical oncology department.
