Katherine Blevins, M.D., Ph.D., is a minimally invasive surgeon specializing in bariatric, foregut, and advanced gastrointestinal surgery. She is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in advanced GI, minimally invasive, and bariatric surgery, with expertise in both laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
Dr. Blevins completed her general surgery residency at Stanford University, where she also trained as a fellow in the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship, gaining experience in medical technology innovation from concept to implementation. She completed advanced clinical fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading programs for GI surgery.
Her research interests include medical technology innovation and patient outcomes following bariatric surgery. Dr. Blevins has co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and is passionate about integrating surgical care with innovation to improve patient outcomes.
