Dr. Ulaner is the James & Pamela Muzzy Endowed Chair of Molecular Imaging and Therapy (MIT). He has introduced novel PET imaging of breast, prostate, and neuroendocrine cancers at the Hoag Family Cancer Institute, as well as opened clinical trials of more than 20 new agents, providing access to Hoag patients years before being more widely available.
Dr. Ulaner is dual board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He leads multiple NIH-funded studies, including two active R01 grants, and has secured more than $9 million in extramural funding. An author of over 180 peer-reviewed publications and the textbook Fundamentals of Oncologic PET/CT, founder of the Hoag PET/CT course attended by physicians from around the world, and leader writer for the Appropriate Use Criteria guiding use of 18F-Fluoroestradiol for imaging breast cancer, Dr. Ulaner is dedicated to improving patient care, advancing innovation, and educating physicians on best medical practices.

Neuroendocrine Tumors Program
Hoag MIT provides SSTR2-targeted therapy trials to patients with neuroendocrine tumors.
