Dominic Shields is the Managing Principal of Strategic Analytics at Hoag. A physician by training, he is responsible for ensuring that Hoag uses its data to provide the highest quality care for its patients. He oversees Hoag’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Governance, Business Intelligence and Analytics teams.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Shields held roles in Strategy and Business Development, and IT, where he supported strategy development, evaluation of new business ventures, execution of strategic transactions, and the development of Hoag’s new integrated care centers.

Mr. Shields joined Hoag in 2003 after moving from the UK. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cambridge University, a Medical degree from Oxford University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from UCLA, where he was awarded the Harold M. Williams fellowship for outstanding academic achievement.
