Hoag Recognized for Commitment to High-Quality Stroke Care

(July 10, 2025) – Hoag has once again been awarded the highest level of stroke recognition from the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Award, including additional distinctions for Stroke Honor Roll Elite, Advanced Therapy, and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
Hoag earned this recognition by consistently meeting quality achievement measures for diagnosing and treating stroke patients over a sustained period. These measures focus on proper medication use and stroke treatments aligned with the latest evidence-based guidelines to speed recovery and reduce death and disability. To qualify for the award, hospitals must demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality care, including patient education for managing health and recovery at home.
“This honor reflects the dedication, expertise and compassion of our physicians, nurses and entire stroke care team in providing world-class healthcare to patients,” said David M. Brown, MD, program director of Hoag’s Stroke Program. “We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to clinical excellence and for helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”
