Hoag Advantage: Center of Excellence
Hoag has been designated as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery (COERS™) by the Surgical Review Corporation. Surgical Review Corporation provides
accreditation, consulting, education, and datafor surgeons and facilities
to advance the safety and quality of care for their patients.
Hoag is the only integrated multi-specialty minimally-invasive team of
its kind in California. Hoag's specialized gynecologic team is helping you heal like never
before. And with our state-of-the-art da Vinci robots "on staff,"
you will be back to healthy much faster. When it comes to minimally invasive
gynecology surgery, Hoag is committed to providing superior patient care.
The
Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery (COERS) program was developed to recognize surgeons and facilities worldwide performing
robotic procedures and achieving defined standards for patient safety
and care quality. This commitment includes having specialty-specific credentialing
and privileging guidelines in robotic surgery.
To earn the COERS designation, surgeons and hospitals must partner together and demonstrate a cross-organizational
commitment to robotic surgery. Hoag provided information on all aspects
of its robotic surgery program and processes, including data on its surgical
outcomes. The application, site inspection and evaluation process is rigorous
to ensure that the safest, highest quality of care is delivered to minimally
invasive gynecologic surgery patients. For more information on the SRC, visit
