Elizabeth Torres, Patient Care Coordinator

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Music from Chapman University in Orange, CA. As an undergraduate, she cultivated her passion for serving youth by interning for Orange Lutheran High School and New Alternatives Incorporation. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain, where she became bilingual in Spanish.

Elizabeth loves working closely with youth in foster care, and has at least five years of work and volunteer experience in child welfare. Prior to Hoag, she worked for Olive Crest as a case manager where she served children placed with their relatives (grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc.). She has been a volunteer for Royal Family Kids since 2014 as both the music leader and a mentor. In September 2017, she became a practitioner of the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) through Texas Christian University. As a practitioner, she is able to teach and integrate the principles of TBRI® (Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting) anywhere that reaches children that have been abused and neglected.

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, running, yoga, discovering trendy coffee shops, leading worship at church, and spending time with friends and family. She can also frequently be found at the mission in San Juan Capistrano!

She is thrilled to be a part of Hoag, and is excited to grow and develop within this organization.
