Memory & Cognitive Health
Classes are held with informative discussion on how to prevent memory loss
and other cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease and related
disorders (ADRD). Learn about ADRD risk factors and their management,
how to recognize the early signs of memory loss, and what we can do about
it. Presented by William R. Shankle, M.D., program director, Hoag Memory
& Cognitive Disorders. classes are offered regularly.
Parkinson’s Educational Series
This series is appropriate for patients and caregivers dealing with the
diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Classes are held periodically.
Topics include: Parkinson’s disease and treatment overview, rehab
therapies for Parkinson’s disease, speech therapy, and surgical
intervention.
Insomnia Program
The Judy & Richard Voltmer Sleep Center is offering a program to treat
insomnia. The six-week course is designed to break the pattern of insomnia
through cognitive-behavioral therapy and teach participants coping techniques
to alleviate their insomnia and improve quality of life.
