March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Early Detection Saves Lives
Your best defense against colorectal cancer is screening. Unlike some other
cancer types, colorectal cancer can be prevented or cured if found early.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colorectal
cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United
States. Yet, Hoag Family Cancer Institute hopes to change that statistic
by increasing awareness that colorectal cancer is a highly preventable
form of cancer with proper screening.
During the awareness month, make your colorectal health a priority.
