Zorayda Velez

Zorayda Velez received her B.A. in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton. Zorayda has years of experience providing case management services at non-profit organizations. Zorayda is trained in Mental Health First Aid, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Prevention, Domestic Violence Advocacy, and CPR. Zorayda is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work and has a sincere interest in helping people across the socio-economic spectrum. She specializes in working with low-income families providing a variety of resources within the community. As a Hoag representative, Zorayda serves as a liaison with Newport-Mesa Unified School District and is part of the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) panel. Zorayda has a personal passion for helping parents with children within the spectrum and is an advocate by getting them connected with the appropriate services. Zorayda is fluent in English and Spanish and is highly experienced in management, leadership, and communication.
