Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who values the mind-body connection. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine and a master’s degree in Social Work from USC, Nicole focused her studies in social engagement and health. She has 8 years of experience in providing trauma informed care and crisis intervention to patients in acute care and emergency medicine. She has also treated co-occurring conditions like chronic disease adjustment in combination with anxiety and depression. Nicole employs a holistic perspective and takes into consideration the person in his/her/their environment. She utilizes an eclectic approach with an emphasis on the following theories: cognitive behavioral, systems, and existential. Nicole also values mindfulness strategies to relieve stress and anxiety, and will often incorporate meditation and mindful breathing into treatment. She aims to provide care that is empowering, collaborative, and of course, patient centered.
