Jodi Deemer, MSN, RN, AGPCNP-B

  • Nurse Practitioner

Jodi Deemer, MSN, RN, AGPCNP-BC is a board-certified nurse practitioner in adult and geriatric medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public health sciences at UC Irvine, and then went on to pursue her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA.

During her time in Boston, she was fortunate enough to train at some of the leading health care institutions in the country including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital. It was through these experiences that she developed a passion in caring for patients with potentially life-limiting illnesses, particularly in oncology.

Prior to her arrival at Hoag in 2019, she worked as a nurse practitioner in radiation oncology, and she has used that experience to help shape how she cares for her palliative care patients. Although this position can be emotionally challenging at times, she feels honored to take care of her patients and family members during their most vulnerable, physical and emotional life moments.

Jodi’s interests outside of medicine include spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs. She also enjoys traveling, cooking/baking, hiking, and all things east coast (especially the snow).
