Genetics Team
Jeanne Homer, M.S., Genetic Counselor
Jeanne Homer graduated from Smith College and received her Master's
degree in genetic counseling from the University of California at Irvine.
She is board certified as a genetic counselor. Jeanne has been seeing
patients through the Hereditary Cancer Program through Hoag Family Cancer
Institute since 2002. Jeanne is licensed in the state of California.
Chelsey Weatherill, M.S., Genetic Counselor
Chelsey Weatherill, M.S. graduated from the University of Alberta with
an honors degree in Molecular Genetics. She received her Master’s
degree in Genetic Counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount
Sinai in New York City. Chelsey is board certified as a genetic counselor
and licensed in the state of California.
Priya Sawla, M.S., Genetic Counselor
Priya Sawla, M.S. graduated from University of California, Los Angeles
with a degree in Human Biology and Society. She received her Master’s
degree in Genetic Counseling from California State University, Stanislaus
in San Francisco. Priya is board certified as a genetic counselor and
licensed in the state of California.
Michael J. Demeure, M.D., F.A.C.S, F.A.C.E., Physician Advisor
Dr. Demeure is a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon with special interest
in precision medicine - the study and testing of the molecular profiles
of tumor cells. He is the Program Director for Precision Medicine at Hoag
and an internationally recognized expert in cancer surgery and research,
with particular expertise in endocrine, pancreatic and gastrointestinal cancers.
