Judy & Richard Voltmer Sleep Center Opens in Style
Newport Beach, Calif. -- Hoag Hospital’s sleep center has moved to a state-of-the-art facility
with a beautiful hotel-like atmosphere and reopened its doors as the Judy
& Richard Voltmer Sleep Center.
The Voltmer Sleep Center was custom built with eight private bedrooms to
conduct sleep studies. Each room has a private bathroom and is designed
to feel like a high-quality hotel from the wall décor to the Ralph
Lauren linens.
A generous gift from Richard and Judy Voltmer to Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute
has enabled the construction of the beautiful 6,500 square foot center.
In appreciation of the charitable gift, the center has been renamed the
Judy & Richard Voltmer Sleep Center.
In addition, the diagnostic equipment has been completely upgraded to top-of-the-line
technology from Care Fusion, which meet and exceed the American Academy
of Sleep Medicine guidelines. Sleep studies are often required to treat
and diagnose disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, which affects
more than 12 million Americans. Sleep patterns can be evaluated throughout
the night or during the day at the Voltmer Sleep Center.
The Voltmer Center is located at 510 Superior Avenue, suite 280 at Hoag
Health Center-Newport Beach.
