About Dr. Lipham

John C. Lipham, M.D., is the Foregut Cancer Program Director and Chief of USC Affiliated Academic Programs at Hoag. He is Associate Professor of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Dr. Lipham’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of GERD, esophageal motility disorders, and malignant diseases of the esophagus and stomach, as well as complex general surgery issues.
Dr. Lipham utilizes minimally invasive techniques (MIS) and is trained in robotic surgery. Dr. Lipham specializes in the treatment of the following conditions:
  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
  • Barrett’s Esophagus
  • Esophageal Cancer
  • Gastric Cancer
