Jaimie Shane is a dedicated Perinatal Nurse Navigator with an impressive 30-year career in Maternal Child health. She prioritizes an evidence-based and compassionate, family-centered approach to care to ensure the best possible outcomes and patient experiences. She is deeply passionate about maternal-child health as it pertains to patient safety, equity in care, and quality improvement.

Jaimie is a lifelong learner who leads with her heart, exemplifying a true passion for her patients and her profession. Her journey in Nursing began in 1992 after earning an associate degree in nursing as a young mother. She started nursing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before transferring to Labor and Delivery. After working for several years in L&D and raising 3 children, she pursued higher education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2015, then a master’s degree with honors in nursing education, in 2020. Jaimie’s commitment to scholarship is also evident through publications in the Journal of Obstetric and Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing.

Jaimie is known for encouraging and empowering patients to share their preferences to foster a personalized childbirth experience and hospitalization. She has received recognition for her contributions that include the prestigious Daisy award for extraordinary nurses, and she holds an RNC, a nationally established certification in her specialty of Obstetrics. When she is not Nursing, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, practicing Yoga, hiking, reading, and traveling.
