Mackenzie is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist. She earned her undergraduate education at Seattle Pacific University and completed her supervised practice through Cal Poly Pomona. She has also obtained a Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults. While living with Type 1 Diabetes presents unique challenges for Mackenzie, she is able to use this understanding to help empower patients in their own health journey. She is passionate about nutrition and feels strongly about helping patients balance good nutrition and the joy that comes from enjoying tasty food. When not at work Mackenzie can be found trying out a new recipe, tending her small garden or out hiking.
