Terry Fan, MD

Communication and collaboration – that is Dr. Fan’s mantra when it comes to patient care.  He was drawn to medicine at a young age due to his love for science and the intellectually stimulating nature of the field. However, it was watching his mother deal with a serious illness when he was young that made him realize and appreciate the work of doctors and witnessed firsthand the impact of a great doctor.

Dr. Fan thoroughly enjoys his role as an internal medicine physician as it provides him the opportunity to care for the whole body and interact with a wide variety of patients and conditions. He especially likes that his profession affords him the ability to follow patients over many years and work with them during various life stages. As he states it best, “I enjoy working with my patients and building an atmosphere of trust.  I feel very fortunate to serve as their physician and take it very seriously to ensure my patients receive the very best in health care.”

In practice for over 13 years, Dr. Fan is a firm believer that constant communication and collaboration with his patients is essential.  He enjoys working as a team with his patients and helping them make informed decisions about their health care. He wants his patients to be active participants in their health care and takes every necessary step to make this a reality.

An Orange County native, Dr. Fan received his medical degree from University of Southern California and completed his residency at University of California, San Diego. He is excited to return to his hometown community to help care for the residents.

Dr. Fan is a dog lover who enjoys traveling as well as playing and watching sports. He is a father of two young kids and you can oftentimes find him on the tennis court or the basketball court.
