Samantha Markovitz, NBC-HWC, is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and serves as the Supervisor of Health and Wellness Initiatives at the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. She is committed to advancing the evidence-based principles of health and wellness coaching in chronic illness care and speaks regularly on the topics of resilience, patient empowerment, and self-efficacy for people living with diabetes.

As a graduate of the University of Arizona and the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program, Samantha was a member of the first-ever cohort to be certified by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching. She is the author of Type 1 Diabetes Caregiver Confidence: A Guide for Caregivers of Children Living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Drawing from her own experience in living with T1D, Samantha is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to live well while managing health challenges and achieving their goals.
