Artistic Healing: A Time to Nest*

This project is designed to help people accept that at times, they need “A Time to Nest.” When we experience an illness, life completely changes and we need to take a moment to regroup and move forward. This birdhouse project is a fun way to combine tissue paper and gloss medium to smooth the rough edges of life.

The video that accompanies the birdhouse project highlights others who have gone through a similar experience and found successful ways to cope with illness. We encourage everyone to participate, whether they are the ones experiencing an illness, their family members or caregivers.

* This class is for Hoag cancer patients only. Hoag cancer patients must be in active treatment or have finished treatment within the past 5 years. One kit per household. Registration is required by November 10 for art kit to be mailed to the address provided.
