Magnet Designation

Hoag-Megnet-Designated.pngHoag is a Magnet® designated facility.

The Magnet Recognition Program was developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to recognize health care organizations that provide nursing excellence, and is regarded as one of the top nursing designations in the country.

Recognizing quality patient care, nursing excellence, and innovations in professional nursing practice, the Magnet Recognition Program provides consumers with the ultimate benchmark to measure the quality of care that they can expect to receive.

Applicants undergo an extensive evaluation, and members who are awarded Magnet status must continue to maintain rigorous standards as part of their four-year designation. To reapply for and receive Magnet status for an additional four years is confirmation of the hospitals resolve to deliver the highest level of care in nursing today.

Hoag’s Magnet designation validates the outstanding nursing staff and care provided to our patients and community. This designation highlights Hoag as one of the best hospitals in the country, boasting an exceptional team of staff and physicians.
