Physician leaders include:

Robert R. Selby, M.D.
Program Director, Hoag Pancreas and Hepatobiliary Cancer
Robert R. Selby is the Pancreas and Hepatobiliary Cancer
Program Director at Hoag. He is Professor of Surgery, Director of the Liver Transplantation
Program, and Chief of the Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at the
Keck School of Medicine at USC. He has extensive experience in hepatobiliary
and pancreatic surgery. Dr. Selby is board certified in general surgery and
general surgical critical care.

John C. Lipham, M.D.
Program Director, Hoag Foregut Cancer
John C. Lipham, M.D. is the Foregut Cancer Program Director
and Chief of USC Affiliated Academic Programs at Hoag. He is Associate
Professor of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Dr. Lipham’s
clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of GERD, esophageal motility
disorders, and malignant diseases of the esophagus and stomach, as well as
complex general surgery issues.

Yuri Genyk, M.D.
Yuri Genyk, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the
Keck School of Medicine at USC in the Division of Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic and
Abdominal Organ Transplant Surgery. He is an expert in living-related donor
liver transplantation, adult and pediatric liver transplantation, laparoscopic donor
nephrectomy for kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation as well as nontransplant
hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. Dr. Genyk is board certified in general surgery
and ASTS certified in transplantation surgery.

Maria Stapfer, M.D.
Maria Stapfer, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at
the Keck School of Medicine at USC and has extensive experience and training in
hepatobililary and pancreatic surgery. She has published on the topic of
duodenal injuries following ERCP. She has expertise in the management of
iatrogenic bile duct injuries and is publishing the USC single center
experience in the repair of bile duct injuries following laparoscopic cholecystectomy
that includes over 200 cases.

Phuong T. Nguyen, M.D.
Medical Director, Hoag Advanced Endoscopy Center
Phuong T. Nguyen, M.D. is the Medical Director of Hoag
Advanced Endoscopy Center. She is a nationally recognized expert in the field
of gastroenterology, and is one of Orange County’s most experienced physicians
in the use of minimally invasive GI procedures, including her expertise in the
outpatient imaging procedure, endoscopic ultrasound.
