The Hoag Vascular Lab, accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditations for Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL), offers noninvasive ultrasound as an important diagnostic tool which is used in the diagnosis and detection of vascular problems.
Ultrasound uses sound wave frequencies which are safe and harmless to diagnose many medical conditions. Noninvasive means the ultrasound procedure does not require the use of needles, dyes, radiation or anesthesia.
