Clinical Care Extender Program-COPE (Patient Care)
The Clinical Care Extender Program is partnering with COPE, local colleges and universities, Hoag's Patient Care and Volunteer Services. Clinical Care Extenders include:
- 500 caring volunteers
- College or university or graduates interested in the healthcare field
- Volunteers that provide basic patient care assistance, such as assisting staff with transport, positioning, bathing, and feeding of patients
- Volunteers currently on nursing units, in OR, Emergency and Surgical Centers
