About your Hoag Urgent Care Physician
Robert Amster, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer
As the Chief Medical Officer of Your Neighborhood Urgent Care (YNUC), Dr. Amster is a practicing Urgent Care physician. His educational experience is vast which includes receiving his B.A. from Rutgers College, his M.D. from the University of Rochester, his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, and his M.S. from Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Amster brings over 30 years of experience as a residency-trained and board-certified Emergency Physician and board-certified Occupational Medicine Physician. During his career, he has served as the Director of Emergency Departments, Medical Director at several large California Health plans (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California), member of the Industrial Medical Council in California, and is a Workers Compensation MRO and QME. He is also a lifetime Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
